Scope And Fees

How fees are set

The scope is reviewed before work begins, and the fee follows from it. For bookkeeping, the fee depends on things like:

  • How many accounts and transactions there are each month
  • How current the books are, including any catch-up or cleanup
  • How many businesses or entities are included
  • Payroll, sales tax or other filings handled alongside the books
  • The reports reviewed with you each month

The agreed scope and fees are written in the Engagement Letter before work begins.

Common Questions

Bookkeeping FAQs

How often are bookkeeping records reviewed?

Bookkeeping is typically handled on a monthly rhythm so accounts can be categorized, reconciled, and reviewed before tax season pressure builds.

Can GHL clean up old or behind books?

Yes. If records are behind, GHL can review the scope and recommend a cleanup plan before moving into ongoing monthly bookkeeping.

Does GHL use the books for the tax return?

Yes. GHL keeps the books ready for the tax return, so the return, the estimates, and planning all work from the same books.
